: : Lost Handphone : :

Wena does a dumb blonde : forgot to take the handphone out of the airport toilet. Sigh.

Painful to lose a $$$ phone. More painful to lose all the contact numbers I used to carry. Sigh.

If anyone knows the handphone to Karl Erik Chee, please ask him to call me. Lost the phone, lost his number and was supposed to meet up for makan yesterday. Sorry, Karl. Sigh. Shit happens, shit happens.

Am now temporarily at a cybercafe in KL trying to contact people. Sigh. Anyway, do SMS me your no.s . I won’t be able to check my email regularly so SMS me at the number above.

: : Trip to KL ~ Part II : :

A little note to let everyone know that I will not be updating my blog while am in KL. No PC around!

Probably will have limited pictures to bring back. We’ll see how much space is left on my camera after the family pictures are taken.

Anyway, cheerio! Until Monday, that is.

: : Hotel Grand Continental ~ Part V : :

Almost done with the pics from this buffet. Phew! Probably another posting after this and finito. So, more red stuff below.

Left is a plate of acar @ pickle salad. Done the same way Granny did it. Josh of Food Section fame also did it. Right is freshly cut kedongdong which is very sour. Must eat with rice.

Chinese style fried rice. Usual fried rice flavour. Can’t say much lah. It’s just fried rice i.e. easy to do but delicious all the same.

Now, doesn’t the fried mee look delicious? And no, it ain’t worms! :p

This is a fusion dish : pasta cooked Asian style. Basically stir-fried with green peppers, mushroom with some chilli sauce. I think.

Definitely tasted good. The fish was grilled first and the sauce poured over it. Again, I think.

Lamb chop with specially cooked chilli sauce. Goes together pretty well. And, it wasn’t tough! The meat that is.

Well, 4 out of 6 dishes were red. Not too bad this time.

: : Trip to KL : :

Okay. Got a call from Dad last nite that my passport came back and I need to go to KL for an interview at the US Embassy. Sigh. Oh well. Hope the interview goes well.

So, am taking the afternoon flight on AirAsia to KL this Thursday. Due to the flight availability, can only get back on Sunday nite! Will there over the weekend. Well, hopefully can get a taste of Penang Prawn Mee and Pan Mee. Miss eating those stuff.

Plus, I owe a laksa dinner for some friends. Wonder if they still have the paste though.

: : Hotel Grand Continental ~ Part IV : :

Looking through my folders, I realised that I still have a lot of shots leftover from the 3 days of training at Hotel Grand Continental. As usual, more red coloured food. They sure do like to use a lot of chilli powder to their cooking.

Now, this is beef curry. Not the same as beef rendang as the flavour is different, not to mention that this is a wet curry. The meat was a bit tough so it was not easy to eat this.

Some chicken curry for taste. You know, it was very difficult to find anyone selling chicken curry at the Masja Ramadhan Bazaar. Hmm… I wonder why.

Kuching restaurants are always offering crab. Probably because we can get it very fresh here. The above crab is cooked with a very tasty and delicious spicy sauce.

The most popular Chinese dish in the Western world! 🙂 Presentation wise, it look terrible. Taste-wise, it was divine. Yum.

More pics tomorrow!
