And so brunch it was, on Saturday morning last week with two aunties. Well, brunch at 8:30 a.m. in the morning that is. Thought we’d try out some delicious dimsum at Da Chin Hua but turns out that they didn’t have any that morning. So, we settled for other food instead.
Seaweed soup in the morning to help soften the mee later. Think it was complimentary.
We had some kiaw though. Kiaw is pork dumplings which is extremely delicious. Think it was steamed although the chef mentioned that it was fried. Didn’t seem fried to me.
The kiaw came with some vinegar and chopped cook garlic. Went very well with it.
Ah! The dish was handmade noodles with beef soup. We saw one of the waitresses making it out in front and it was simply delicious. Definitely better than the local ones found around the hawker centers.
We also ordered some char kway teow @ fried kway teow. Believe me, it tasted different than the ones we usually find at hawker centers.
I can’t quite describe the food that we ate here. Everything was tasty and delicious. It’s definitely a real adventure for anyone going to this shop because even though the food looks like normal fare in any restaurant, the taste is very very different. Try it out!
