: : Agent G reporting for duty : :

Watch out all you alien lifeforms! Agent G is hot on your tails! Or flippers!

Had a good laff when I got back home from work today. Granny in cool black shades.

Wena : Who choose the specs for you ah?

Granny : Nyeh, the Iban nurse mah. I said I wanted something not so black. Style-o leh!

: : One-Eyed Jack Granny : :

Coming out of the elevator after the operation.

Granny : See? I’m now one-eyed Jack!

Needless to say that the nurses thought that Granny was a riot. She’s now recuperating at home. Quite a nerve-racking experience. She promptly fell asleep after that, having worried so much about the entire operation. I don’t blame her for worrying. Still, she’s fine now. Her follow-up appointment is tomorrow. If all goes well, the bandage will come off tomorrow.

: : Seafood Cravings : :

When my collegemate, Anna, dropped by Kuching, she said that she has massive craving for seafood. So, to satisfy this craving, we went to eat at Bukit Mata Stall 25, TopSpot, to do some serious damage to our cholesterol levels and our waistlines.

Now, this was something new that neither one of us has ever eaten before. Softshell crabs coated with sweeten dark soy sauce and Nestum flakes. Yeap, Nestum flakes a.k.a. baby food. The crabs were both soft and crunchy at the same time. Slightly different from the way it’s prepared in Japanese restaurants. We actually wanted to have some mud crabs but there wasn’t anymore at the stall. So, we had to settle for this instead. Wasn’t a loss at all.

This is the 7th picture in my collection on oyster omelette. There’s nothing that can beat the taste of the crunchy batter mixed with oysters. Yum! This is the standard platesize for oyster omelette at Bukit Mata. So, even if there are only a few of you eating there, you’re going to end up eating this big sized platter! Remember, it better be eaten up completely else it’ll go to waste.

Was this mango fish? Or just assam fish? Couldn’t remember. But! The garnishings were both sweet and sour and went well with the rice. As for the fish, it was fried to perfection before the sauce and garnishings were added onto it. It’s not quite like the usual sweet and sour fish done with pineapples, tomatoes and capsicum but rather, the way the Thais prepare it using mango and assam.

We also orded a veggie dish : MIDIN! Well, no pictures as I already have too many pictures of Midin @ fern. We ordered a small dish of it cooked with belachan and chillis. Anna haven’t had it in a long time so she binged to her fullest delight.

Well, that was the meal we had 2-3 weeks ago. Until my sore throat heals, Wena isn’t going to be able to eat much. Yesterday was the only day I went out to eat with Granny after her heart and eye examination. We went to have dimsum at the Joyous Shanghai, the Shanghai restaurant at Lok Thian. Unfortunately, I left my camera at home so we didn’t take any pictures. Then again, we were a disappointed with the fare yesterday. Somehow, it didn’t quite match the fare that I had a week ago after my Amah’s funeral. So hmm…

: : Cataract Operation : :

Granny is going to have a cataract operation on Monday afternoon. This was decided after the heart doctor gave to okay for her to do the operation at the eye doctor.

So hmm… Monday afternoon. Need to take the afternoon off to bring her to the doctor’s.

Hopefully, the operation goes on well.

: : Soundless : :

Yes, I’m soundless. Why? Because I lost my voice for the 2nd day running!

Comments from the office yesterday :

Sexy voice

Sultry

Ooohhhh…

Everyone is a kidder, including Granny.

Granny : Don’t talk. I don’t want to laugh. Don’t want stomachache.

Doh!

And, no fried of chilli stuff for the next few days. So, am craving for some good nasi lemak after checking out doc’s posting on it. Sigh.
