This meal was with some white-flesh fish poached in tom yam paste, shallots and lemongrass and starfruit. Quick and simple meal to have over weekend and pretty light too. The fish was from the neighbour across the street.

Mason Jar Lunches : Chicken Noodle Soup in a Jar
My first time making this chicken noodle soup in a jar. It took longer than expected because I decided to make the chicken soup from scratch rather than something from instant powder.
The inspiration for this lunch jar came from Buzzfeed Food. Just add hot water and voilĂ ! Yummy hot noodles.
The only thing I forgot to do was add salt to the chicken stock. Oh well.
Homemade Herbal Tea
It’s a rainy Sunday afternoon so I decided to make a healthy warm drink. I boiled a pot of water, smash from lemongrass stalks with a pestle and cut some ginger torch (bunga kantan). Once the water has boiled and the herbs are getting discolored, I start adding in some slight sugar. Put into an enamel cup and drink when ready.
This drink is great with stuff noses. It should clear up within minutes of taking this drink.

Mason Jar Lunches : Ham Salad with Seaweed…. What?!?!
I’m not sure if this salad was a good idea or not. The dressing is made from apple juice that was mixed with lemon juice, olive oil and black pepper. The veggies were celery, crispy lettuce and Japanese pickled seaweed salad called “chuka wakame.”
The plate is for breakfast. The jars are lunch and early dinner before gym class.
