It’s a rainy Sunday afternoon so I decided to make a healthy warm drink. I boiled a pot of water, smash from lemongrass stalks with a pestle and cut some ginger torch (bunga kantan). Once the water has boiled and the herbs are getting discolored, I start adding in some slight sugar. Put into an enamel cup and drink when ready.
This drink is great with stuff noses. It should clear up within minutes of taking this drink.
It’s nice to have a revisit of the Nasi Ulam that Granny made for me awhile back.
A new ingredient we added in was the bunga kantan or rather, torch ginger, to give it a different taste. Also, this time, instead of salted fish, she added in dried prawn.
